12 Most Unexpected Advancements in Mobile Marketing

12 Most Unexpected Advancements in Mobile Marketing

The original Mobile Marketing was about 4 wheels, the open road and a marketing message…

Last month marked the 75th anniversary of the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. The 13′ weiner was one of the pioneers of mobile marketing. It worked long and hard touring the country to engage consumers where they eat, lived, worked and played. Today it has doubled in size. Six weiners criss-cross the country evangelizing the brand. Those lucky college grads selected for the task are appropriately called 'hotdoggers'.

Little things like clean clothes make a big difference.

Stan you got the blimps but you forgot the airplanes .and airlines... Alaska airlines with the huge plumage... and southwest airlines and Braniff airlines .. did considerable work with their branding in staff uniforms.. I can remember an regional airline that painted huge smiles under the nose of their aircraft. the branding they did really stood out in my mind and made it fun to fly.. in the good old days (pre 9/11)

JosephGier True. I missed both airplanes and helicopters. Red Bull is a company that has done a nice job in the air.

Oh Stan, you magnificent genius you. You certainly threw me for a loop! :)

The Goodyear Blimp is a real thorn in the side of Akron. It used to be called the spirit of Akron. Symbolically, it was torn from us. Hmph.

Now as for me, I think I want a Kissmobile. Are the kisses on top edible?

Fun post. Thank you!
