12 Most Hilarious Parody Accounts on Twitter

While Twitter is a great resource for following brands, thought leaders, and celebrities, it is also a great place to get a laugh. Since the network was born, parody accounts on Twitter have been wildly popular and extremely entertaining.

For those of you who don’t have enough funny in your Twitter feed, here are the 12 most hilarious parody accounts on Twitter.

1. @Lord_Voldemort7

Any Harry Potter fan can appreciate the hilarity of this account. If Lord Voldemort was evil at Hogwarts, imagine him giving commentary on current pop culture. He is a must follow.

2. @BronxZoosCobra

Remember when the Bronx Zoo had a missing cobra? Well, now the snake that tried to escape the zoo has his own Twitter account. While the snake was missing, this fictional account tweeted the tourist hot spots the snake was visiting. Now it tweets about planning its next escape!

3. @Queen_UK

If you are used to seeing the Queen of England act prim and proper, this account will throw you for a loop. This parody account imagines what the Queen would be like if she loosened up a bit.

4. @oldmansearch

The claim is that an elderly man was told that Twitter was actually Google so all the tweets are attempted searches of this man. Is this legitmate? Probably not. I assume he would catch on eventually when no search results showed up. But is it funny? Yes!

5. @FakeAPStylebook

The real AP stylebook is the place to go for grammar and writing tips. You can only imagine what the fake AP stylebook is for…

6. @DarthVader

I am not a Star Wars fan by any means, but even I can appreciate this account. The tweets are evil and funny at the same time.

7. @chuck_facts

What’s cooler than Chuck Norris? Nothing. But this parody account comes pretty close. If you love Chuck Norris jokes, then you will love this.

8. @LeBronJamesEgo

He may be King James on the court, but in the real world, he is a guy with a huge ego. Apparently his Twitter account isn’t big enough for his ego and one user though they would help out by making a separate account for just that! Sadly, they haven’t tweet since June. Hopefully he will make a comeback.

9. @ATT_Fake_PR

I have AT&T and it can be… frustrating. Users tweet their frustrations and this fake PR account retweets and does nothing to help! Thanks!

10. @God_Damn_Batman

Batman is usually a pretty serious character, but on this account he is all laughs. Comic book junkies rejoice!

11. @BPGlobalPR

Created after the BP oil spill, needless to say this account was not tweeting BP’s praises. Since then it has still been tweeting and reeking havoc.

12. @BettyFckinWhite

Nobody is funnier than Betty White. You can only imagine how funny her parody account may be.

Follow these users now while you still can! Twitter has strict guidelines on what counts as a parody account and anything that doesn’t meet the criteria will be suspended. What are some of your favorite accounts? Are there any that are missing from this list?

I could imagine the Betty White and Darth Vader ones would be hilarious - and I can't stand LeBron (for what he did to Cleveland), so I appreciate the humor in having a separate account for his ego.

Have to recommend @petermolydeux , a parody of eccentric British game designer Peter Molyneux (Fable, Black & White, Populous etc.). Whilst many may be unfamiliar with video game design culture, and this one in particular, he's easy to 'get'. Basically, he makes crazy suggestions about how video games can reach larger audiences and become more of an artistically credible medium. For instance: "You know, my dream for gaming is where in one game you'll shoot someone and then during a game of say FIFA you'll see their son crying"
