Great list. I didn't get a chance to plan my holidays to america, But now i am seriously looking forward to it. And your list help me alot as i am new to america and didnt know about spots.
12 Most AWESOME Spots in America
Hard to believe, but some people never get to travel. They live their entire lives in the same exact place; never getting in a plane and hitting some cool spot and spending a couple of days.
If you have the time and the money, here are some GREAT places to spend a quick getaway.
1. The STRIP in LAS VEGAS
Do I really have to explain this one? It’s VEGAS, baby! Gambling, Nightlife, Gluttony, Overindulgence. Vegas is where it’s AT.
2. The Grand Canyon
If you have never been you won’t get it. You just have to be there and see it with your own eyes. It will change your perspective on things.

4. New Mexico
The entire state is a special place. It’s clean, the food is good, the people are nice, and if you get out to the desert to do some exploring, you will find it to be spiritually awakening.
5. Waikiki Beach, Hawaii
You will think you are dreaming. You won’t believe your eyes. You will never have seen such beautiful colors in your life. The water, the sand, the girls. You will never want to leave. The downside? EXPENSIVE.
6. Venice Beach California
Not the cleanest and safest beach in the world, but it IS probably one of the best people watching places around. You will see all KINDS of interesting characters, I guarantee it.
7. Broadway — New York City
Broadway will always be broadway. You MUST go see a show there. It is a HELL of an experience.
8. The Improv Comedy Club — Los Angeles California
On any given night you can belly up to the bar and have a beer with some of the most famous and hilarious comedians in the WORLD. Every night they have a lineup of the top comics in Hollywood if not the WORLD. If you are ever in LA, it’s a fun place to spend an evening.
9. Nashville
The entire city. You like live music? Go to Nashville and you will be in HEAVEN.
10. Oklahoma Joe’s Barbecue, Kansas City
Yes, a BARBECUE. Maybe the best BBQ you will ever find.
11. Marco Island Florida
Beautiful place. Home of Captain Brien’s Seafood Restaurant. If you like FRESH seafood STRAIGHT out of the water, this might be the best place in Florida.
12. Ybor City… Tampa Florida
If cities were bars, Ybor would be the fun little dive full of tattooed hipsters and street thugs. Rough around the edges, but always a good time. Home of the legendary IMPROV COMEDY CLUB. (The best comedy club in the WORLD bar none.)Tweet

Hmm, I seen references to Marco Island for years since Hilton Grand Vacations has properties down there (and we are members). Might have to give that one a shot. I still hope to take my Vickery Girls to Broadway, and we've kicked around the idea of hitting Vegas for a couple of shows...we do not gamble, so that allure is lost on us.
Well obviously you need a better semantics class since you only mentioned United states NOT All Spots of AMERICA (The one and only with 35 countries & 5 offshore territories) furthermore those places are so cliche and yesterday
If you're hitting #1, you have to hit Fremont St as well. World's largest big screen TV over the street and a lot better prices on those tacky souvenirs that you have to buy for folks back home.
