12 Most Cheeky Ways to Photo Edit with PicMonkey
Have you heard about PicMonkey? I’ve been hooked since the first time I tried it. One of the things I love the best about photo editing with PicMonkey is that they have a sense of humor yet are seriously helpful.
Let me show you some ways that you can create fantastic photos for your blog, social media platforms, or wherever you need something cool. One word of warning: once you start using PicMonkey you are going to be hooked!
1. “Photo editing made of win”
Using the correct size for photos is key when posting to Facebook, otherwise your photos get distorted or cropped. Here’s the “ultimate complete final social media sizing cheat sheet.”
2. Adding text is a snap!

3. You can create your own Facebook Timeline Cover Photos
Go into the collage feature, click on FB Cover and go! Load photos, then drag and drop on the collage template.
PicMonkey will be adding a custom Google+ template in the future but you can easily make your own with these quick steps from Brenda Anderson of PicMonkey:
“Choose the the “Create Your Own” layout feature and over on the right under the blank layout, click the lock (to unlock the ratio), then type in 940 and 180 and hit the lock again. Voila, your own G+-sized collage. You can then add as few or as many photos as you want and resize them by dragging the blue bars between them.” You always need to remember to leave room on the right side for the avatar.
This is a quick one that I made using these steps:

4. You can share any of your masterpieces via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or email
5. PicMonkey Editor for Facebook!
With this app, you can access all your Facebook photos and edit them right inside of Facebook! Check out the app here.
6. Create collages
One of my favorite features is creating collages. Nine different choices in the collage layouts give you plenty of options. This is a Facebook cover I created for Kreussler Inc.’s Facebook page.
7. Don’t have Photoshop?
PicMonkey has you covered with some enhancement editors such as blemish fix, airbrush, wrinkle remover and teeth whiten. You, only better!
8. Trick out your browsing experience with the free Chrome App
When you install the app, the PicMonkey appears in Chrome’s App launcher on the New Tab page. There are currently approximately 464,000 people using this fantastic app.
9. Rock the PicMonkey Extension for Chrome
Get it here. This easy to use extension allows you to grab images from almost everywhere on the web. Make sure that you add proper attribution to your photos when you share them or use them on your blog.
10. Inspiration from PicMonkey at Pinterest
Check out their fun Pinterest Boards! I love their monkey board.
11. Check out their blog for ideas and new features
From their blog: ” Wisdom and madness from yer pals at PinMonkey.com.”
12. Be original!
Please make your own creative choices when creating your PicMonkey originals. Copying someone else’s style and flair is not cool and makes you a knock-off.
Have you tried PicMonkey yet? What are your favorite features?
