This cocktail is one that I’m quite familiar with as I just celebrated a birthday and I served this at my party, it was a hit! I substituted the cake for the caketini. Not only is it much easier to prepare than cake, but it’s a lot more fun! Mix 2 oz of Marshmallow flavored vodka (yes, you can buy this at your local liquor store) with 2 oz of cherry soda or red fruit juice. Combine in a shaker with ice, shake for about 30 seconds and drain into a martini glass. For an added touch, you can use frosting to rim the glass and dip it in sprinkles… just like cake!
Candy Cane, need I say more? This cocktail is perfect if you’re hosting a Christmas party amongst your friends. Rim the cocktail glass by dipping it in Peppermint Schnapps and dipping it in crushed up candy cane. The cocktail consists of ¾ oz pf berry flavoured vodka, ¾ oz of peppermint schnapps, ¾ oz of white crème de cacao, ¼ oz of grenadine, soda water and half and half. Put the vodka, schnapps, crème de cacao and grenadine into a cocktail shaker with ice, shake well. Then pour it into the glass you rimmed and fill with half and half, top with a splash of soda water.
Every year at St. Patrick’s Day you know wherever you go is serving green beer. If you’re hosting people, chances are that’s the first drink you think of! The great news for those who are not fond of beer (regular or green) is that The Shamrock is a great alternative and is delicious. Mix 1 oz tequila, 1 oz melon liqueur, ½ oz of triple sec and a splash of orange juice with ice and shake in a cocktail shaker and garnish with either an orange or lime wedge (lime wedge if you’d like a more green themed cocktail).
Why not bring in the new year in style with a beautiful cocktail in hand featuring none other but champagne. Your guests will be impressed by this cocktail thanks to it’s refreshing taste! Mix ¼ oz brandy, ¾ oz ruby port and ¾ oz of orange juice in a shaker and shake with ice. Strain it into a champagne flute and top with champagne!
